Tirol's youngest glacier

Wide slopes on natural snow. . .

In the Kaunertaler Glacier ski area, there´s snow and ice all over the year, guaranteeing snow safety from October to June. The Kaunertal Glacier is one of Tirol's highest ski resorts and has wide glacier slopes. Standing at the lifts? Wrong indication! Here you can relax from the beginning till the end.

The driveway to the ski area is already an experience, as the Kaunertal Glacier Road winds over 29 turns to 2,750 m above sea level.

Enjoy carving, jumping & chilling: underneath  the white tip "Weisseespitze" (3.535 m) the mighty landmark of the valley to which the ski area belongs.

A special highlight is the black slopes from the Karlesjoch to the valley station Ochsenalm with a height difference of 1,000 m, it is the longest ski-run. Combined with a unique 170 m long, ski tunnel. A part of the route is the so-called "Steinbockwand" with a gradient of 75% - that´s pure adrenaline!
